Look, I love me some Lurpak, but I want to make a one woman petition to bring back shaping our butter into beautiful, decorative shapes like this. In fact, it seems like Vogue beat me to it. Isn't there something just so romantic about this? Who's with me?
Freshly made butter would have been pushed into the mould and cooled. Once ready, the hinged mould could be unhooked and the butter released.
If butter making or kitchenalia isn't for you, this would make a lovely, standalone styling piece.

Pre-loved: I think this might have originally had a second hook on the base of the mould to keep it firmly together, which is now missing.
