Refund and Delivery Policy

The joy of collecting vintage items is that every piece has their very own personality. It is not often you will find a vintage piece that is 'like new' so every item we list has a 'pre-loved' description. Brass items with their own patina, ceramic items with unique crackle glazed patterns and wooden items with character. Please do check the 'pre-loved' section of every item before purchasing or drop us a message and we can send you more detailed photos.

What is your returns/exchange policy?

We accept returns in the case of faulty or damaged products. If an order arrives damaged, or you believe it is not as described, please email houseofbrunswick1@gmail.com and we'd be happy to come to a resolution with you. If we are not contacted within 30 days of delivery, we will be unable to take responsibility for the damage, unless it is clear error in the description of the item.

For customers based in Bath, we can accept returns of non-damaged items if the package is dropped off at our business address. Please contact us to arrange this. 

We take real care to package your item so that it arrives in perfect, vintage condition but please let us know immediately if the item arrives damaged or smashed. Accidents happen during transit, and we'd hate for you to be disappointed when it arrives - just get in touch! 

We do not accept exchanges. 

Do you cover the cost of returned items?

Unfortunately as a small, family-run business, it costs us a lot of money to post out your orders and so we just can’t cover the cost of returning order. If you are unsure about a product or have any issues at all, do send us an email and we are happy to open a conversation about how best to return your item. 

When should I expect to receive my order?

Wherever possible we aim to post out your order within 3 business days from the date of purchase. Shipping is typically by Royal Mail Second Class with the exception of large or extremely fragile orders which will be sent via Evri Standard Delivery service. 

Any orders received when the shop is 'closed' will be posted as soon as we return to our stock. These dates are always posted on our social media.

LOCAL DELIVERY - we will contact you via email, phone or social media to arrange a convenient time for delivery. We are also happy to leave your delivery with a neighbour, a concierge or in a safe space. Please just let us know at checkout! 

Is it possible to receive my order quicker? I need my order for a particular date!

Yes! Please just drop us a message via email (houseofbrunswick1@gmail.com) or message us on Instagram/Facebook and we can aim to post your order out the same day. We will always try our best to ensure a parcel reaches you or the recipient of a gift in time. 

Whoops! I gave you the wrong delivery address!

If this happens you must contact us immediately, before the item is dispatched. We cannot take responsibility for a lost or mis-delivered item if the shipping address is incorrectly entered at checkout. If an item gets lost, please contact us and we'd be happy to try and source you a similar item. 

Do you ship to my country?

We currently ship to the UK. If you are based outside of the UK but would like us to arrange a delivery, please email houseofbrunswick1@gmail.com.

How is my order packaged? 

All orders will be packaged in bubble wrap and padded out with paper with the aim of keeping our packing as eco-friendly as possible. Items will be shipped in a sturdy cardboard box. Some orders will have multiple, smaller boxes inside to protect fragile pieces from other items. 

For local deliveries in Bath, your items will be bubble wrapped and hand-delivered in a paper bag. 

Sometimes there might be an extra little treat included!

Are all the items in my order shipped together?

Yes, we aim to parcel up all your items into one parcel although you may find multiple smaller boxes inside the outside box. This is done to protect your items in transit. If you have placed a very large order, we may decide to split the order down into two packages, especially if the items are particularly fragile. 

Do you offer gift wrapping?

Yes! Gift wrapping is a true joy. Please add the 'gift wrapping' product to your basket before checking out. You will find this in our 'Collection' listing if you sort the products from low to high. 

Please leave a note at checkout if you would like us to include a hand-written gift note to the recipient of the items.
