I believe this was made by Myfanwy Piper (née Evans) (1911-1997) who was a writer and librettist. There seem to be a few rare pieces of pottery made by her, even though this wasn't her main occupation. She was married to the artist John Piper.
A wonderful handmade tea pot - perfectly practical and tactile.
