Beautiful terracotta mortar, perfect for adding a splash of colour to your kitchen! If you want to use it as originally intended pestle will need to be purchased separately. I can imagine this filled with bulbs of garlic or shallots in the kitchen. I believe this would have originally been used to mix garlic, eggs and olive oil to make aioli (then serve it in the same bowl).

Pre-loved: as you can see in the photos there are areas of missing glaze. I love this rustic look.
