A beautiful piece of green majolica pottery, decorated with a wonderfully detailed poppy and scrolling leaf design. The rich green glaze catches the light across the raised botanical pattern, showing off the lovely detail.
Floral and leaf-moulded majolica was particularly popular during the Victorian period, when decorative pottery was often designed to be both useful and rather splendid.
A lovely addition to a collection of antique majolica.
