A very cheerful little piece of Carlton Ware, made in England and modelled as a pear, complete with stalk-shaped finial and a little notch in the lid for a spoon.
Originally intended as a preserve or jam pot, it would still be great for marmalade, chutney or sugar, but looks just as good sitting out on a kitchen shelf.
