A lovely example of Scottish stoneware from Buchan Pottery, decorated in their distinctive blue and white Rouen pattern.
Made in Portobello, Scotland, Buchan stoneware was celebrated for its durability and practical designs. This four-part serving dish is a particularly useful piece, with separate compartments for serving everything from olives and pickles to nuts and nibbles.
I love the combination of traditional blue and white decoration with such a practical shape. A proper entertaining piece.
