Before hair gel and styling wax, there was brilliantine! This vintage tin of French Fern Solid Brilliantine was produced by Moray's of Regent Street, London, and would originally have contained a pomade used to give hair a sleek, glossy finish.
The soft green colouring, botanical illustration and wonderfully worn lettering make this a particularly appealing piece of vintage packaging.
